Your Safari Hosts
There is little doubt that when you are personally hosted by the owners of a safari tour operator, who have your best interests and safety at heart, that there can only be a positive outcome...

Nicky's special interests are the grasses (thanks Fritz...she will explain!), the geology of Southern Africa as well as astronomy.
Nicky is easy to chat to and down to earth...bounce anything off her and you will have an empathetic ear.
She completed a comprehensive field guides &
nature enthusiasts course with Africa Nature Training in 2008 which included
taxonomy, trees, grasses, wild flowers, weather & climate, astronomy, ecology,
geology, arthropods, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, paleoanthropology &
eco tourism. She is also FGASA (Field Guides Association of South Africa) certified.
Richard - has been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and has worked in a variety of 5 star establishments in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, including a Michelin star restaurant. As a qualified chef, Richard is the person behind the food so when it comes to your dietary requirements, no request is too big or too small to make sure that you have a truly memorable culinary experience in the bush. He has a keen interest in birds and the small details of the bush that are easy to overlook, for example the spoor (tracks of animals).
In addition to his keen interest in the bush, Richard is passionate about conservation, the ocean and is a PADI scuba diver instructor. He is also a keen photographer and loves to sit around the campfire with his guests and a good whiskey. Richard is a qualified pastry chef, a member of the SANParks Honorary Rangers and holds a level 3 first aid certificate.
Alistair - has a Bachelors of Technology in nature conservation and is a FGASA level one field guide with extra FGASA courses in advanced rifle handling and the FGASA trails guide. Alistair will be your guide leading the tours to the various destinations as he has a wealth of knowledge of the bush. Alistair has worked extensively in Africa he has worked in notable SANParks such as Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (where he was a field guide) and SANParks Kruger National Park as a conservator and ran programmes like environmental education activities for visiting tourists.
Alistair also worked for Cape Town Environmental Education Trust, specialising in invasive species management, law enforcement, and working on such projects such as conservation integrity and biodiversity. He is also a member of the SANParks Honorary Rangers.
Alistair's knowledge of trees and animal behaviour is amazing, and every trip is a chance to challenge him on his knowledge.
...With a little coaxing, you might be treated to Alistair's stories of his adventures in the bush.
