About Us

We are an owner-run business and all of our safaris are personally conducted by ourselves to give you the personal attention that sets us apart from our competitors. We do not have clients or customers; we have guests who become our friends. 

 

We offer a variety of different options for our guests in accordance with their preferences, including Camping, Budget and Mid-Range Accommodation Safaris. We specialise in family safaris for three to four families travelling together, including children, but we welcome all different kinds of groups for all occasions. Our menus are something special and we are able to cater for all dietary requirements.

Armadillo was founded in 2014 by Chris Holl who had a passion for the bush. With Chris' background in aircraft maintenance, and having built overland motorhome bodies for a living, he put his technical know-how to good use and built the vehicle body that you travel in - 'Truck Norris'. Sadly Chris passed away in 2017 but his passion for the bush and legacy lives on through Armadillo.
