Safari Vehicle

Our custom built safari vehicle surprises and delights all who travel in her.

Some of the reasons we believe our vehicle to be the best if you want to Experience a Kruger Park Safari

  • A safari should start the minute that you board your safari vehicle...being transferred in a mini bus is just not the same...it is just a journey, not an experience!  The ambiance of our vehicle is just fantastic...you don't just all face forward in rows of seats but are able to socialise and stand up to move around freely.

  • Panoramic windows and a very high seating position (more than double that of the parks own game view vehicles) allows for exceptional game viewing and photography.

  • Tables between your comfortable safari seats allow for a more social atmosphere besides the fact that it is convenient for books, drinks and binoculars

  • Flush toilet on board...when travelling in the park with a group of people, especially when there are young children, you may get caught up at a fantastic sighting which you just do not want to leave and an onboard loo is more than just a little handy in these circumstances.

  • Masses of underfloor space for luggage and gear

  • Charging facilities - an inverter converts 24 volt to 220 volt with European plug for charging mobile phones, camera batteries, Go Pro's and Laptops etc

  • Drinks fridge for ice cold drinks on the move

  • An honest bar onboard

  • Sound system with USB and WiFi...you can play your own music directly from your smart phone...if you are a private group, make up your own USB music stick

  • A comprehensive library insures that you have all the information you need at your fingertips

  • A daily game tracking board allows us to keep track of what we have spotted

  • A large Kruger map allows us to keep track of where we are in the park

  • An efficient heater ensures that we are cosy on cool early morning game drive

  • Your safety is paramount

  • Espresso machine

  • Solar panel (roof mounted) keeps our deep cycle batteries topped up while on the move so we should never run out of power

  • 60 l water tank on board for fresh portable water no matter where we find ourselves

Catering

Breakfast - consists of coffee or tea with rusks and rocky road muesli and yogurt or milk

Lunch - we time our game drive so that we can be at one of the parks picnic sites at around 12H00 where we will prepare a full lunch with all the trimmings.

Dinner - always served al fresco style in camp...we try to vary and will do a 'braai' (barbecue) or a 'Potjie' (layered meat and vegetables cooked very slowly over the coals in a cast iron pot) depending on the season.

We often make home made bread over the coals or 'stok brood' (bread dough that you wrap around a stick and cook for yourself over the open fire) served with delicious jam...Yum!

The food we serve is very different to what is normally expected on safari, is always freshly prepared with only top quality ingredients and includes meals such as...

  • Home made giant kebabs

  • Basil pesto pasta

  • Beef fillet or Pichana rump with fire baked potatoes

  • Ostrich burgers

  • Bacon, feta & avocado wraps

  • Smoked pork neck with apple, date and mint chutney

  • Fresh green and potato salads

  • Rocky road muesli with yogurt

  • Pancakes

  • Deboned chicken thighs with lemon and thyme and fireside potatoes

  • Slow roasted tomato and tender stem broccoli salad

  • A variety of vegetarian meals

Between meals, snacks are for your own account

We can accommodate lactose and gluten intolerant guests
